Privacy Policy
ArcticDrift is a free browser game in which you sail an ice skiff through frozen polar passages. This policy explains what data drifts through when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Our data practices are as sparse as the polar landscape. We may receive:
- Routine browser metadata — IP address, browser name and version, OS, and referring page.
- Your personal best distance, stored only in your browser's local storage and never uploaded to any server.
- Anonymous aggregate session data that cannot identify any individual sailor.
2. How We Use Information
We use technical data only to keep the game afloat, fix navigation bugs, and understand general drift statistics. No advertising, no profiling, no data sales.
3. Local Storage
Your record drift is held in local browser storage only. Clear your browser data and it melts away — we keep no copy.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts via a standard browser request. No other third parties receive your data.
5. Children's Privacy
ArcticDrift contains no violence, no gambling, and no in-app purchases. The skiff simply stops when it meets an ice wall. Suitable for all ages. We do not collect data from children under 13.
6. Data Retention
Server log files, if any, are kept for a limited operational period and then deleted. Locally stored gameplay data is on your device only and subject to your own browser settings.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Because we collect minimal data, fulfilling such requests may have limited scope in practice.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures to protect any data we handle. No internet transmission method is fully secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy by changing the date above. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the new version.
